From sweating in an office... to scaling from the beach

I’m writing this from a seat that still feels familiar.

Canada → Australia.
Same route.
Completely different woman.

The last time I took this flight was 2018… and it broke me.

Not because of the jet lag.
Not because of the kids (they were tiny and adorable and living their best life).
But because I spent almost the entire trip shut inside a sweltering office while my husband took them to the beach every morning.

Not working.
Not thriving.
Just… reaching.

Reaching for clients.
Reaching for momentum.
Reaching for anything that would make my business feel real.

Nothing landed.

No pipeline.
No system.
No predictable demand.
Just pressure and the sound of little feet running in from the beach, covered in sand I didn’t get to be there for.

And I remember thinking,
“If this business is ever going to work… it cannot keep working like this.”
