Why Founders Need “Deep Work” Days
So, if you’re drowning in your own business, try this:
Picture this: It’s Monday morning, and my calendar is packed.
Back-to-back calls.
Random gaps that aren’t long enough to do meaningful work but just long enough to lose focus.
Clients. Team members. Vendors. All needing “just a minute” of my time.
By Friday, I’m wiped.
Missed deadlines.
Sales calls that didn’t show.
My team feels neglected.
Clients didn’t get my best work.
And, worst of all, the big projects, the ones that actually grow the business—sat untouched.
I told myself, “You’ve got to be available for everyone. That’s how you succeed.”

I blocked off every Monday. No calls. No meetings. No interruptions.
Monday became sacred.

It worked so well that I claimed Fridays too.

The best part?
My clients and prospects didn’t rebel.

All because I gave myself permission to step away and work on what really matters.
